Brendan spells the task judge’s name incorrectly, Breffny can’t remember his teams name and Setanta is demanding increasing quantities of cake. How is Bill ever going to find an apprentice among this lot???
Breffny was my star of the show this week. First he was made project manager despite the fact that he had no experience or aptitude needed to lead the task. Then he managed to get through it by simply looking stressed and scratching his head a lot. At one point he nearly had his team mates bringing him a ham sandwich! I salute you Breffny, I don’t know how you got away with it.
Setanta on the other team at least tried to get involved although I felt he was doing more delegating than actually contributing himself. Did anyone else think it was a bit much to assemble a team of three people to buy cake? Although he did seem to think he was throwing an elaborate tea party or something: “I want chocolate cake, sponge cake…about 5 different types of cake!”
We he got back to the boardroom, it was clear Setanta was favourite to go but he didn’t do himself any favours by bringing Ruth and Geraldine back in to face Bill with him. I think it’s fair to say Bill might have a soft spot for Geraldine?
With the teams mixed up it doesn’t seem to matter as much but no doubt the boys feeling the pressure now. Three weeks in and three boys fired.
And no sign of any singing, dancing or song commissioning of any kind from Samantha this week? Did I judge her too harshly? I don’t know, I still think it’s just a matter of time before she bursts into the boardroom singing “there’s no business like show business”. We’ll see…
