British Embassy Dublin – Trade and Investment Adviser
UK Trade and Investment advises British companies exporting to Ireland, and Irish companies setting up in the UK. We are now recruiting for a Trade Adviser. You will be based at the British Embassy in Ballsbridge, reporting to the Head of the Trade team.
Your main roles will be:
Ideally you will have experience in the commercial world, and a good understanding of doing business in Ireland. You may have a sales, PR or market research background. Most importantly, you will bring new ideas and enthusiasm to the task of supporting UK industry and marketing the UK as a business partner for Irish firms. Good written and oral communication skills will be essential, as well as strong interpersonal skills for client-facing work. You should be proficient in MS Office. A flexible approach is necessary as the role may involve some travel and occasionally working outside normal working hours.
The successful candidate will be subject to a six-month probationary period and will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis for two years with the possibility of renewal. The appointment is also subject to satisfactory local and UK security clearances.
The salary will be Euros 27,911 per annum.
