Sales Specialist, Critical Care
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To achieve sales targets for the Critical Care Product Range through sales presentations and product trials in order to provide better patient outcomes and cost effective options to clinical staff within hospitals. The core customer base will be hospital consultants, senior nursing staff and purchasing managers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
• Achievement of revenue and profit targets as per business plan
• Conducting personal sales calls and management of a customer base
• Creating and raising awareness of our client as a market leader
• Providing accurate reporting of relevant internal and external market information that may impact on the business (e.g. competitor activity)
• Completion of administration as required (e.g. weekly/monthly reports, management of area inventory, expenses etc)
• Attending conferences/trade fairs etc as required. This may require work outside normal hours.
QUALIFICATION REQUIRED
• Nursing/Medical qualification OR Previous Medical Sales Experience with a similar product portfolio.
WORK EXPERIENCE
• Experience of working to an advanced level in Hospital Theatre, A&E, ICU, Radiology, Oncology, Haematology, or Emergency Care.
• We would also consider a candidate with Medical Sales experience who has sold products or systems to any of the above clinical areas.
KEY SKILLS
• Good market awareness to understand where the opportunities for business development lie.
• Strong sales capability to take advantage of these opportunities.
• Able to close out opportunities to turn them into sales, and turn the sales into long term business.
• Ability to establish and maintain high quality partnership relationships with clients.
• Full clean driver’s license.
