Tom Devaney in the Galway office of CareerWise Recruitment requires a Electronic Manufacturing Engineer
for our Galway client.
THE ROLE:
*Develop detailed manufacturing procedures, based on system design, performance specifications and in accordance to the company quality system.
*Create software and hardware installation from design specification.
*Provide support to manufacturing ensuring a timely resolution to any issues that arise whilst adhering to quality systems.
*Ability to fault find to component level on PCBs.
*Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment required to support manufacturing
*Ensure engineering changes affecting manufacturing are fully validated and documented prior to implementation on the shop floor or at an external subcontractor.
*Build and validate assembly and test fixtures, including the completion of production validation documentation.
*Participate in project team activities to facilitate transitions from design to production.
*Provide training to manufacturing personnel for new and revised processes.
*Liaise with external subcontractors providing process updates, technical support and timely resolution to problems when they arise.
*Participate to the design and continuously develop shop floor layouts while employing LEAN and 5’s principles.
REQUIREMENTS:
*Electronic Engineering Degree or equivalent professional experience.
*2+ years experience in production support in a modern manufacturing electronic environment
*Excellent verbal, written communication.
*Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
*Medical device manufacturing an advantage
