A unique opportunity has arisen to recruit highly motivated and customer focused Food Development Specialists who will support the implementation of all core food concepts within the lines of business. This is a field support role. These roles are nationwide and so applications are welcome from all over Ireland.
•Reporting into the Retail Category Food Development Manager, your key responsibilities will include the following:
•Assisting in the development, specification and implementation of food/beverage and services concepts tailored to the business including:
oFood and beverage ranges.
oMerchandising and display systems for food.
oMerchandising programmes to maintain high standards of product presentation.
oCo-ordinate and assist in testing and piloting concepts.
oOperating system to deliver consistent sustainable concepts.
oTraining systems to deliver knowledge and skills to unit managers and chefs
Work as a part of the central food development team and with the purchasing team to ensure right foods/beverages are sourced and supplied.
Work with the Company's sales team to drive new sales.
Be an active member of Company's Food Development Team working closely with front line managers and chefs to implement new food and beverage initiatives
Assist in the central Company's Menu and promotion development.
Assist in the procurement of new food ingredients/ product ideas.
Lead initiatives within respective business, that drive innovation and nurture a first to market culture.
Inspire imagination and flair within the company's chefs.
Train staff on new food programmes
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential skills:
•Customer Focused Approach.
•A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
•Be a culinary expert - demonstrates creativity and flair with food.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - can deal with different types of people and situations.
•Well organised - understands what needs to be done and designs a process to achieve it
•High energy and stamina.
•Flexible approach to work.
•Trustworthy and competent at all levels.
•Training experience (desirable)
•Kitchen Counter Design Experience (desirable)
•Sales Support Experience (desirable)
An attractive salary package will be on offer for the successful candidate
For Successful Candidates a salary of 35,000-40,000 + Company Car, Mobile +Laptop will be provided.
