Our client a leading IT Consultancy company is looking to recruit an additional Business Development Specialist.

Job Description: The requirements for this role are broad. You must have at least five years field sales experience with strong contacts in the sector you are operating in. The successful candidate will be highly autonomous and have a demonstrated history of consistently achieving and exceeding target, coupled with the drive, passion and verve to develop profitable new business.

Reporting To : Commercial Manager

Key Responsibilities and Activities:
· Meeting or exceeding revenue and profits targets as well as the additional objectives assigned, primarily by identifying and closing sales opportunities in new accounts
· Developing a healthy pipeline
· Creating and maintaining opportunity generation plans that contribute to Account Planning efforts for major clients
· Bringing customers to agreement on the business value of proven solutions
· Closing deals by reinforcing the business value of solutions and acting as an interface between customers and partners/Services
· Delivering referenced and satisfied accounts that can be leveraged in future sales engagements
· Ensuring hand over from Sales to Delivery



Desirable Requirements:
· Strong, proven track record of consistently holding or exceeding quotas.
· Demonstrated experience and expertise selling value-based IT services to senior business decision-makers
· Experience of selling IT services in one more of the following sectors: Public, Telecommunication, Financial Services, Manufacturing
· Is a resourceful problem-solver, leveraging internal and partner resources where and when needed to do what’s right for the customer and for the organization
· Listening to customer, probing for business process pains and opportunities, in an effort to meet or exceed their expectations
· Effective and clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills
· Proven record of effective account management, including Account Planning, Opportunity Generation and Qualification, Communication Plans, and Business Management Excellence
· Degree qualified 5 or more years of proven IT sales experience
· Energetic, self-starter, self-motivated
