JOB TITLE: Security Guard
LOCATION: Various locations in line with business requirements
REPORTING TO: Supervisor
SHIFTS: Day and Night Shifts over a 7 day roster cycle
UNIFORM: Full uniform provided. Deductions will be made from wages over first 2 weeks of employment. Logo’ed items must be returned to the company on leaving employment.
JOB PURPOSE:
To provide a quality security service to the client. To reduce the risk of theft, fire, flood, theft and any activity that would cause the client to suffer a financial loss. To prevent/detect any intrusion, unauthorized entry or activity on the client’s premises. To meet and greet visitors to the client’s premises in a cordial and professional manner.
OUTLINE OF SOME OF THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Access Control including logging vehicle registration numbers
Scanning/Conducting Searches
Reviewing Documentation presented by 3rd parties on site
Checking Tagging Systems
Issue/Retrieval of Temporary ID cards
Customer Care / Reception Duties
Liaising with the client and his employees
Telephone Answering / Taking & Passing on messages
Patrols of premises, internal and external
Monitoring activities within the store
Monitoring customers and visitors to the store
Monitoring CCTV
Dealing with alarm activations in line with procedure
Daily and other Reporting in line with procedure
Training of new security staff on site
Any additional duties as requested by the Supervisor
