HR Generalist - 6 Month Contract
Supports execution of business strategy via application of HR processes and tools throughout organization. Serves as the primary contact for Managers and Directors for consultative HR support, including effectively managing individuals and teams/functions, with one or more aligned customer groups. Work is primarily process-focused and provides Human Resources leadership, services and tools that help lead to the successful achievement of departmental and individual performance goals. This is typically an individual contributor position that includes influencing, coaching, and problem solving; requires a knowledge base where work may or may not be supervised, as appropriate.
Responsibilities:
Assist in new hire integration and manager/team assimilation.
Provide support and guidance to customer groups to ensure consistent, equal, and fair treatment of their employees.
Conduct investigation of complaints and concerns that could result in legal ramifications, assess the severity, involve appropriate individuals and facilitate appropriate action based on established practice.
Administer and provide guidance related to compensation and benefits issues.
Answer inquiries from managers and employees while ensuring consistency on HR policies and procedures, and reinforce adherence as appropriate.
Assist in the communication of performance management tools and processes, and in the mid year Performance and Development Review process.
Provide guidance to customer group(s) on employee performance issues that may involve employee discipline.
Present, train and facilitate training programs on an as-needed basis.
Analyzes situations or data, conducts research when necessary and makes appropriate recommendations.
Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements
Education, Experience, skills:
Minimum requirements include BA or BS Degree and minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience along with knowledge of legal implications of the employment relationship.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Demonstrated knowledge in the disciplines of HR. Demonstrated ability to identify and problem-solve issues.
