Venn Group is currently working with one of our financial services clients to recruit for a Financial Systems Developer on a permanent basis. This role will provide an excellent opportunity to acquire in-depth knowledge of various systems and exposure to business processes in both the Investment and Financial areas, along with the opportunity to acquire experience in systems development.
Responsibilities:
· Day to day maintenance of Investment Administration & related Accounting Systems
· Support, analyse, test and improve existing business processes
· Support and develop systems which interact with the Investment Accounting System (e.g. data integration with Investment Performance Measurement, Investment Positioning, Custodian management)
· Developing desktop systems using the MS Office suite (MS Excel, MS Access and VBA) where gaps exist in current functionality
· Maintain and enhance procedures and documentation of existing systems
Requirements:
· A relevant business/accounting degree or equivalent professional qualification
· Investment systems experience, and in particular experience with HiPortfolio an advantage
· Experience of system development and enhancement in a financial reporting environment
· Advanced user of the Microsoft Office products, also including design and development in MS Excel and MS Access (including VBA)
· Excellent analytical skills
· Ability to prioritise urgent work and manage resources for timely delivery
