English Instructor with 2yrs experience in classroom teaching of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) to students from non-English background required by hospital in Saudi.
Our client is an ophthalmic facility in Saudi Arabia, the hospital had been recognized for excellence its delivery of Opthalmic patient care. Position Summary
- Assesses English proficiency in listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills for employees where English is the required language of communication
- Develops, administers and scores tests for assessment and/or placement in appropriate English classes
- Develops and instructs an on going curriculum for the hospitals English program based on current English as a foreign Language (EFL) research and teaching methodology/materials and assessed needs for employees.
Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited university in which English is the language of instruction.
- Course work covered should include instruction in language arts, applied linguistics, teaching methodology, educational evaluation and classroom management.
- Certificate in English as a foreign Language desirable
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience in classroom teaching of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) to students from non-English background .
- Teaching experience in the middle east would be ideal.
- Proven experience in developing, validating and testing culturally sensitive course materials.
- Native listening, speaking, reading and writing ability in English
- Formal knowledge and practical experience in the syntactic, semantics, and phonological systems of English
- Knowledge of current linguistic teaching methodology with emphasis in English as a foreign language (EFL)
