Provide maintenance/engineering support for the manufacture of products to the highest standards in the safest, most cost effective and efficient manner · Direct and control maintenance & engineering activities including troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, calibrations and breakdown recovery
· Work with operations team to increase plant throughputs and minimize downtime to agreed targets
· Provide hands on guidance to resolve complex issues
· Ensure that all maintenance and engineering activities meet all regulatory standards
· Project manage the implementation of capital expenditure programmes
· Compile and adhere to annual budgets for operating expenses and capital investments within maintenance.
· Lead cost reduction initiatives within the plant to improve the cost competitiveness of the manufacturing facility
Qualifications/Experience
· A third level degree in an Engineering discipline
· Be able to demonstrate sound process knowledge
· Proven track record of managing a maintenance/engineering function
· 5 years people management experience
· Excellent problem solving, trouble shooting and project management skills in an industrial environment
High motivation, Flexibility and the ability to work on own initiative
