Our client, a leading bioscience company, currently has a vacancy for a Research Scientist to join their Diagnostics team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities

  • Monoclonal antibody preparation practical work
  • Test method development such as ELISA for antibody/antigen
  • Application of the standard laboratory techniques in the charaterization of antibody/antigen
  • Apply theoretical and practical input into projects related to the products, using good experimental design and implementation and provide accurate interpretation of result
  • Prepare technical reports, assay methods and other related protocols in support of products and test method developments
  • Resolve technical issues with the antibody and related product lines
  • Make representations to customers in support of antibody and related products in form of presentations and seminars
  • Assist manufacturing & QA/QC on technical matters relating to the products
  • Develop insight into areas that our products could have applications in
Applications are invited from candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • MSc, PhD or equivalent in a Biological discipline (BioChemistry, Immunology, Microbiology or Cell Biology)
  • A minimum of 3 years research & development experience in Biochemistry, Immunology, Microbiology or related disciplines
  • Experience in antibody development, protein chemistry, cell culture and hybridoma experience would be essential.
  • Practical knowledge of analytical techniques and chromatography as applied to antibodies
  • Working knowledge of GLP, cGMP and ISO9001
  • Excellent communication and organisational / time management skills
