QUALIFICATION: RGN - ESSENTIAL
REPORTS TO: Head of Nursing Services
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES : Promotes and maintains the highest attainable
standard of nursing care within the Home
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES :
Supervises and controls staff and delegates duties as necessary. Ensures a
consistently high standard of nursing care. Maintains professional standards
of all staff in relation to Code of Professional Conduct, Ethics and
Confidentiality and to maintain strict adherence at all times to Home
Policies. Directs and trains Staff Nurses and Enroll ed Nurses in Home
management and participates in the Plann ed Development of the Nursing
Staff. 6) Directs and trains other staff and participates in in-service
training for Care Assistants and newly appoint ed staff. 7) Carries out
nursing proc ed ures as necessary. 8) Assists M ed ical Staff and reports on
residents' conditions. 9) Liaises with para-m ed ical staff. 10) Establishes
a personal, meaningful relationship with the residents
