International market leader/innovator within the Pharamaceutical/Healthcare sector.
THE ROLE:
Responsible for global licensing, co-promotion and other significant commercial agreements.
Draft and negotiate complex and standard agreements in direct collaboration with the business.
Manage global legal issues relating to products and therapeutic areas in the business groups with direct engagement of the business.
Act as business partner regarding the interpretation of and actions necessary to meet the Company's contractual and legal obligations; in particular in relation to the ownership, control and protection of inventions, patents and confidential business information, the Company's re-search and development collaborations and licensing activities for specific products and thera-peutic areas.
Assist the company's Alliance Management Team in proactively resolving business and legal issues in ongoing third party relationships.
Review public announcements and promotional materials relating to specific products, alliances and business areas to ensure compliance with legal obligations and the Company's in-ternal standards. Advise and determine appropriate actions regarding compliance issues, such as anti-trust and regulatory.
THE PERSON:
Ideally you will have a mimimum of 4 years pqe gained within a Healthcare / Pharmaceutical environment, or alternatively, with a top-tier law firm representing Healthcare and Technology clients.You willl aslo have a proven track record in the following:
- An ability to analyze complex legal issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; together with a high ability to influence and negotiate.
- Proven ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines and withstand pressures and demanding clients.
- Strong experience in handling a high volume of multiple, often complex projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated professional and culturally sensitive work ethic.
