Business Unit Manager-Dublin North
Business Unit Manager Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all staff recruitment and training for the Unit. All training records must be signed by staff and filed accordingly. Ensuring that the right people are recruited for each area of the new Restaurant Unit.
- Effective management for all new staff when successfully recruited.
- Over see that the Unit runs smoothly and professionally and opening /closing procedures are followed. .
- Monitor expenditure and retain efficient budget control in the key impact areas of Food cost, Staff cost, utilities, equipment maintenance, operating supplies. Strive to initiate programmes or ideas to reduce labour costs and to maintain/improve gross profit percentages.
- Business Unit Manager will be responsible to ensure that food hygiene standards are implemented, maintained and comply with E.H.O, Q.A, and H.A.C.C.P requirements.
- Delivery procedures must be followed ensuring that all stock is secure and accurate, records and stock checks are completed as per the schedule.
- Ensure an excellent level of cleanliness throughout the business by acting upon and maintaining a written cleaning schedule.
Business Unit Manager key skills:
- Minimum of 2 years unit management experience
- Good industry track record
- Superior interpersonal and leadership skills
- Excellent delegation, negotiation ad people management skills
- Target driven and ambitious
- Self-starter with an excellent knowledge of and commitment to food hygiene best practices.
- Positive and committed attitude to customer care and a culture of catering excellence
- A 'no compromise' system with regard to quality standards
- Commitment to self development and that of juniors
