Supermarket Delicatessen Manager
Company Description: Our client is an established symbol group retailer with a network of convenience stores, food halls and Supermarkets across Ireland. This store is a customer focused, best practice driven business with a large emphasis on fresh foods, customer service and playing the local shopping, local people card. Our client has invested significantly in this business and won a number of awards for best practice. It is an exceptional store, looking for an exceptional Delicatessen Manager
The company prides itself on excellent distribution, competitive nature and customer service. The brand is synonymous with local shopping and convenience.
PLEASE NOTE: GROCERY RETAIL MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE
The delicatessen is the most important part of this store. They are renowned for their fresh foods
Key Responsibilities: Day to Day running of Delicatessen
To be accountable for your own personal development and to be proactive in seeking opportunities for your development
To actively participate in all training and development initiatives, and performance assessments
To ensure all staff merchandise to the highest standards at all times
To ensure presentation of department is to the highest standards at all times
To ensure hygiene standards & HACCP Controls are maintained as per agreed procedures
To ensure all staff members wear uniforms correctly at all times
To ensure closing down procedures are carried out efficiently and effectively in department
To control fresh food areas as agreed with store management
To familiarise yourself with all aspects of supply procedures – ordering, delivery procedures, stock rotation and control procedures
To attend staff meetings
To ensure the highest standard of Customer service is given to all customers
To comply with all company rules, policies and procedures
To familiarise yourself and comply with all Health & Safety Regulations as they pertain to the store and report any breaches of such to management promptly
To perform any other duties as may be directed by management from time to time
Skills & Experience: You will have previous experience in fresh food management or supervision, with a passion for food retailing or wholesaling, a people person with a commercial edge and a desire to drive your own business category forward. Ambitious, not only for yourself but for your company
