Train as Clinical Fellow in A&E
Interested in living and working in London for six months, a year, or more?
Our Client a large NHS Trust are looking for doctors with three or more years of experience since qualification, who have worked in any of: General/Family Practice, Emergency Medicine or in acute hospital specialties, including medicine, surgery or anaesthetics to work and train as Clinical Fellows in the Accident and Emergency (A&E) Departments of their three hospitals. They are the largest provider of A&E care in London, and together they provide emergency care for about 10% of the London population.
These posts involve assessing patients with a broad range of acute problems. To begin with the areas of work will be adjusted based on the previous experience, but they will aim to train new Clinical Fellows to manage acute and emergency problems from across the whole spectrum of adult and paediatric medicine. One day each week will be spent completely on training, and there will always be more senior doctors on duty to get advice from. These posts will provide a great opportunity for anyone wanting to start out in Emergency Medicine to get a sound training, or for more experienced doctors to extend their skills. There is a strong training culture, and the possibility of progressing to a more senior grade.
The post holders will work on a rota averaging 48 hours per week. The shifts include one weekend in three and about four nights per month.
