A position has arisen for a Financial Accountant covering maternity leave. The successful candidate will maintain sound accounting and control procedures surrounding the plant inventories. He/She will identify and drive efficiencies in the area and drive process improvement through the efficient use of SAP and Oracle.
Specific duties & responsibilities will include:
- Analyse and calculate stock movements and balance sheet figures for stock as well as budgeting and forecasting.
- SAP and Oracle key user.
- Calculate and review all provisions relating to stock in the balance sheet.
- Monitor standard costs monthly and update once a year by performing a full cost roll up.
- Establish transfer prices where required
- Deliver presentations to senior management on various issues surrounding inventory and process improvements.
- Liaise with both internal and external auditors on issues relating to stock in the balance sheet
- Ensure correct reporting in Oracle through journals and reviewing reports at month end.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations for Inventory 7 approve various reconciliations completed by other senior accountants.
The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with experience in the use of integrated software systems with SAP and/or Oracle experience being a distinct advantage. Experience in a Multinational Company in inventory accounting would be a distinct advantage.
