Our client ranks among the ten most valuable technology companies in the world.
Due to continued expansion, they are currently looking to recruit a fluent Italian & Spanish speaking Technical Support Engineer for a full time permenent position to be based in Cork.
The successful candidate will support the Pre-sales team and must speak both Italian, Spanish and English.
An excellent salary plus full benefits, are ore offer to the successful candidate.
The role is predominantly based in Cork, but some travel will be required to some of the clients other subsidiaries and Partner offices in other countries.
Duties:
- Advise internal teams on all technical pre-sales support functions, providing advice to internal salespeople and Partners on the analysis, design and deployment of integrated solutions
- Use knowledge and understanding of the clients and competitive technology and business applications to articulate the features, benefits and business value of the clients products
- Prepare documents such as configurations, quotes and architectures/topologies in support of Partner bids
- Provide demos of the clients products through Webex, MS Live and similar on-line tools
- Work with internal salespeople on conference calls to support the sale
- Deliver technical training to Partners as required
- Provide prompt, accurate answers to pre-sales technical questions raised by Partners
- Evaluate configurations proposed by Partners, typically through analysis of their CXP quotes, including checking the validity of the configuration and proposing alternatives which might be more appropriate for the customer needs (e.g. higher performance, more resilient, more cost-effective)
Skills and Education Requirements
- Bachelors Technical (or equivalent)
- 2-3 Years post qualification experience in an IT technical role
- Typically network or systems administrator or similar
- Ideally with strong server (Windows, UNIX or Linux), network or storage experience
- Preferably in a customer-facing role, with exposure to pre-sales activities
- Strong communications skills
- Good organization and time management skills
- Language – English plus ideally French, Spanish or Italian
