Our Client is reviewing CV’S for a Production Planner. The Production Planner will perform Production Planning activities: planning production volumes and priorities based on real customer/stakeholder requirements.
Responsibilities for the Production Planner
Develops, maintains and controls the master production schedule in accordance with the corporation's strategic business plan.
Engages in special build and inventory analysis, such as obsolescence projections.
Serves as the main interface between Manufacturing, Marketing, and Supplier Development, as well as the main source of information regarding forecast and schedule changes within the Supplier Development Group.
Acts as a major contributor in the operation's planning process.
Develops, maintains and controls a realistic master production schedule by balancing marketing requirements with manufacturing capacity and parts availability.
Communicates forecast and production schedule changes to Supplier Development Group.
Analyzes potential impact of forecast and production schedule changes on component procurement and production volume.
Collaborates with Marketing, Manufacturing, and Regulatory to appropriately manage inventory levels and minimize obsolescence.
Perform "What if" analyses to aid in optimal scheduling, priorities and decision making.
Monitors and analyzes supplier performance indicators in order to proactively identify potential supply problems.
Requirements for the Production Planner
Educated to Degree level with 8+ years work experience. Production planning experience
