General Functions
§ Supports the Manufacturing Manager in implementing the Manufacturing Strategy for the site
§ Fosters a high-quality, patient-focused, continuous-improvement culture within all employees
§ Ensures manufacturing-volume requirements are met and standard processes are always being followed.
§ Leads problem-solving initiatives and takes an active role in driving cross-functional collaboration across Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance & Supply Chain groups
§ Coaching, motivating, counseling, training and recognising employees
§ Effectively manages employee performance, review and appraisal
§ Communicates and supports manufacturing and corporate objectives and provides direction on how employees contribute to the achievement of objectives.
Skill Requirements
· Experience working within a medical device / FDA -regulated environment preferred
· Experience in manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, metal-polishing, casting, molding, and clean room packaging is desirable
· Understanding of blueprints, dimensional-measurement equipment, GMP, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
§ Effective problem solving skills, including problem identification, data gathering, solution development, and implementation and follow-up.
§ Demonstrates accountability, results orientation, high achievement, and organised work habits.
§ Strong analytical skills and ability to deal with issues with multiple variables such as process improvement and resolution of poor performance on an individual or cell basis.
§ Working knowledge of budgets and an understanding of capacity and other key metrics.
§ A proven track record of driving continuous-improvement. Lean / Six Sigma knowledge an advantage.
§ Strong team skills, demonstrating the ability to work within a team environment within the organisation and across departments and shifts.
§ Ability to interview and select most qualified candidates for the cells.
§ Effective oral and written communication skills.
