Ormonde Recruitment seeks to find a Planner for an expanding plant in the Midlands Area. This is an excellent time to join this outstanding advanced medical manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Product Planner ensures product availability through effective management of available capacity while ensuring cost and quality compliance.

Responsibilities for this role will include:

  1. Ensure external and internal customer focus
  2. Agree production plan with the Demand Planning group and ensure compliance to the agreed plan
  3. Reserve/MDO Report management, update reserve expired material report against each code you manage
  4. Ensure effective management of Master Production Schedule
  5. Manage Production Planning parameters; BPCS's Alignment and Data Integrity.
  6. Ensure effective management of inventory and adherence to KPI's
  7. Ensure cost effective coordination of Quality, Scientific Services,Manufacturing and Warehouse resources to meet customer demands
  8. Ensure compliance to applicable quality requirements.
  9. Generate and review planning, inventory and improvement metrics
  10. Must have ability to interact at all levels of the organization
  11. Conduct business in a manner that will protect human health, safety and the environment by complying with all applicable EHS laws, as well as the Company Global & Technical Standards.
Requirements may include:

  • Third level qualification in a Science, Technical or Business discipline or a relevant third level qualification, I/APICS or IIPMM qualification
  • Circa 2-4+ years experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Good working knowledge of MRP systems and Microsoft Excel are essential for this role
  • Advanced organisational skills, attention to detail and proven problem solving skills.
  • The ability to work co-operatively and effectively with others to establish and maintain good working relationships
  • The highest levels of integrity in the successful completion of your work
  • The ability to use your initiative, while adhering to a quality system
  • Excellent timekeeping, attendance and performance record is a pre-requisite for this position.
