Financial Accounting Manager, Dublin West, 55K-65K

Leading FMCG seeks to recruit an experienced Financial Accounting Manager for their head office in Dublin West. The purpose of this role will be responsible for the financial manager of all accountancy and finance reporting for the group. Ideally this organisation is seeking to recruit someone with superb managerial exposure with strong SAP and financial reporting. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the drive and determination .You will be innovative in understanding and applying current commercial accountancy procedures and getting involved with all the varied business units within the group.

People Skills

  • Ability to plan , organise and manage a team to meet strict deadlines.
  • Liaising with Senior Management on Weekly and Period Accounts.
  • Liaising with site accountants to ensure delivery of accurate information on a timely basis to meet required reporting standards and deadlines.
Accounting and Reporting

  • Preparation and reporting of accurate and timely weekly, monthly and quarterly accounts along with relevant supporting schedules.
  • Preparation of accurate and timely Consolidated weekly, monthly and quarterly accounts.
Financial Control

  • Monitoring , Auditing and protecting the Integrity of the Group Balance Sheet.
  • Managing Internal Audit and Self Assessment.
Budgets & 5 Year plans

  • Co-ordinate and support the consolidation of Budgets & 5 Year plans.
Audit & Tax

  • Planning and managing the Year End Accounts preparation Annual Audit and tax activities.
Process Improvement

  • Continuous drive to improve all processes to increase levels of control and efficiency.
  • Qualified Accountant with 3- 5 years experience within a strong Financial Accounting role.
  • Candidates must have 3-5 years relevant exposure within a group that has a multi site operational structure.
  • Previous experience of consolidation of accounts is an advantage.
  • Ability to plan , organise and manage a team to meet strict deadlines – this role will have up to 4 -5 direct reports.
  • SAP ideally.
