Required skills / experience:
- 4 – 5 years experience as a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor on large scale commercial projects
- Previous staff/crew management experience
- Contract management experience
- Ideally qualification in Horticulture, good knowledge of trees, plant and shrubs, knowledge of chemicals and machinery used in grounds maintenance
- Must have valild Safe Pass
- Must have full clean drivers licence
- Excellent English
Duties
- Working alongside three other Contracts Supervisors
- Crew organising for days work
- Overseeing staff activities in the yard on the return of crews
- Taking charge of the day-to-day supervision of work as required by the maintenance contracts.
- Ensuring staff are carrying out works in accordance with the scope and schedules of works.
- Visiting and inspecting sites
- Ensuring collection and filing of maintenance reports is carried out for supervised sites.
- Preparing an outstanding works list at month end.
- Liaising with direct clients
- Procurement and purchase of Materials/Subcontractors/Plant and Machinery
- Health & Safety Implementation and Quality Control/Monitoring
- Fleet Management – monitoring of maintenance of vehicles e.g. fire exits, first aid kits, servicing, van condition etc.
