Buyer Planner - Cork - healthcare sector.

This is a contract posting of circa 12 months' duration.

JOB PURPOSE:

Performs senior level reporting, analytical and process development activities to support the Materials function (Planning, Procurement and Logistics). Primary responsibilities include continuous improvement and streamlining of current and new business processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Review and agree monthly capacity requirements for a defined portfolio of products with Global Supply Chain and Operations groups.

• Provide weekly build plans to Operations ensuring Customer priorities are optimised.

• Plan and procure all components required in line with corporate, ISO and business objectives

• Achieve Inventory Turnover levels in line with corporate and business objectives

• Project manage the implementation of continuous improvement processes within Logistics and across other internal departments as required.

• Participate in line Team improvements / development initiatives

• Build Quality into all aspects of your work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements

Education/Experience/Skills Required:

• Third level qualification such as a Business Degree or Diploma in Purchasing is required.

• APICS certification an advantage

At least two/three years' demonstrated successful experience in a similar type role

Competency in Microsoft PC Applications, specifically Excel.

• Working knowledge of SAP

• Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision

• Excellent Planning and Analytical skills

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Experience in the medical device industry is an advantage
