Supervisor, QC Microbiologist

Reporting to the Quality Manager, Microbiology, the Supervisor, QC Microbiologist will be responsible for co-ordinating the daily operations in the QC Microbiology area. Responsibilities include:

Display leadership and guidance to the QC team and promote and implement SP systems and initiatives.
Enhance the necessary skills of the team to meet their objectives through focused training, development plans and succession planning.
Ensure all QC Microbiology activities are documentated as required.
Lead, promote, participate and supervise the implementation and maintenance of the SHE, cGMP and other relevant business compliance programmes.
Monitor performance to metrics, manage resources and prioritise to achieve targets.
Assist in the development and transfer of new processes.
Prepare budgets and control expenditure to operating plan.
Participate in corporate/regulatory audits.
Contribute to site management operations and strategic initiatives.
Liaise with external vendors.

Key requirements for the Supervisor, QC Microbiologist.

Candidates should possess strong leadership/organisational skills.
They should have a demonstrated ability to lead change and produce innovative solutions to problems.
Good influencing skills and the ability to build good working relationships.
Track record in delivering results, demonstrating an ability to respond to changing priorities.
The proven ability to identify the skills and strenghts of others in delegating responsibilities to achieve team/unit goals.

To be considered for the position of Supervisor, QC Microbiologist you must have:

A third level bioscience qualification preferably microbiology and relevant experience in a pharmaceutical environment.
Previous supervisory experience in a sterile manufacturing environment is desirable.
