Major Responsibilities:

Plans test strategy for one or more areas of a product

Working Knowledge \ Fluent in one of the Following languages

Ø Korean
Ø Japanese
Ø Chinese
Ø Spanish

    Ensure application is tested to a high quality

    Responsible for test coverage of one or more Subsystem areas with an understanding of the entire system.

    Ensures all processes and procedures are followed according to CMM standards.

    Take a Technical lead on all projects assigned.

    Determines automation strategy

    Involved in project planning, tracking and oversight

    Gives feedback on documents undergoing review

Functional Success Factors (experience, knowledge,
skills):

    Identifies and narrows down product defects found through testing and analysis of results.

    Analyses complex software problems and proposes workarounds.

    Seeks and provides assistance to/from other team members to solve problems.


· Is able to train/give guidance on one or more product areas.

    Participates in group-wide problem solving resolution activities.

    Seeks out and uses test tools to test specific system areas more effectively.

    Look for opportunities to train less technical people in the group in product areas, tools, and technologies.


· Identifies conflicting tasks/goals and prioritises based on project needs.

    Be able to keep to the project schedule, notifying the Project Lead or Manager of issues/risks.

    Will work on own initiative, without direct supervision, with the ability to be flexible when priorities change, and is accountable to the QA Team Leader or QA Project Manager.

    Answers questions in response to complex customer issues that have been escalated to QA for validation and resolution.

    Exercises good judgment regarding all tasks assigned.

    Updates project databases accurately and timely, based on the current project milestones.

    Ensure test environment has been set up according to specified business needs.

    Identify Test priorities, test cycles, regression packages and project risks

    Support Team Lead in implementing policies and procedures

    Mentor Team Members

    · Deputize in the absence of the Team Lead.

Typical responsibilities include:
· Providing estimates for software work products
· Producing relevant Documentation/Schedules
· Plans test strategy for one or more areas of a product
· Responsible for managing the development of test data and the test environments for the System Test phase.
· Understands customer/system requirements
· Reviews functional and design specifications
· Gives feedback on documents undergoing review
· Interacting with business partners in the US

Position Requirements
And Education:
The ideal candidate must be educated to diploma/degree level having at least 1 years experience with IBM Mainframe applications and/or Systems Testing.

· Should have a strong working knowledge of:
· Desktop applications
· Lotus Notes
· Setup of Test Environments using various S/W and H/W Configurations
· Relational databases
· SQL
· Unix
· Excel
· Web-based testing
· Positive / Negative Testing
· Should have experience in Test strategizing and planning.
· Should have experience in Test Strategizing and planning and ability to work with Minimal Requirements
· The ideal candidate must have excellent People, Speaking, and Writing skills.

Background Requirements (Education/qualifications/previous experience, etc.)
1. Educated to University level (or equivalent) preferably in Computer related subject or the relevant experience.
2. 1+ years Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering and technical related experience.
