PRODUCTION MANAGER-STERILE SERVICES TO HOSPITALS
Reporting To: Plant Manager
Job Summary: To ensure that the Production Facility works to the requirements
of all relevant regulatory requirements including EU Medical Devices Regulations and ISO 13485 - 2003.
To meet the optimum level of efficiency within budgetary, quality and safety requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
Degree in sterile services paramount-will have to be able to sign off authorization for products
At least 4 to 5 years experience in Production Management in a sterile/hospital supplier environment
Strong technical expertise
Very good interpersonal skills-will have to manage people in a production facility
Principle Duties:
1.To manage the Company Unit in compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
2. The requisitioning and control of necessary materials required for the continued smooth running of the Unit.
3. To liaise daily with the Distribution Manager to ensure that delivery deadlines are achieved and ensure product is released in line with company procedures.
4. To liaise daily with the Service Department to ensure that all customer queries and complaints are dealt with effectively and efficiently.
5. To ensure that all daily\weekly\monthly Production Reports are compiled and reviewed and sent to the Production Director at each period end.
6. To work with the Quality Manager and QA Co-ordinator with implementation of Quality Policy, Procedures and practices within the unit.
7. To promote development of ongoing quality improvement activities along with implementation of preventive / corrective action and attend monthly review meeting.
8. To ensure compliance to all GMP practices covering gowning/ cleaning/
environmental monitoring/ internal auditing/ process controls/ inspections.
9. To liaise with Maintenance Manager \ IT Management \ Subcontractors to
arrange for the immediate correction of all mechanical faults associated
with all machinery \ equipment within the Unit.
10. To recruit, select, train and direct all staff on all areas relevant to their job
and in particular to quality requirements as laid down in the quality system
11. To monitor the Attendance records of all staff and ensure all Disciplinary
Matters are dealt with in a fair and competent manner.
12. To carry out internal communication process with all staff and providing feedback to the team from annual customer satisfaction survey on Product Quality, Service rating , delivery on time and overall customer satisfaction.
13. To ensure that the Unit is maintained in a clean and tidy manner.
14. To ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations.
15. To constantly review production methods, work organisation and staff
deployment and implement changes to improve productivity.
16. To be familiar with any new regulations or developments that effect the
operation of the Unit.
17. Monitor the planned Maintenance \ Validation schedules for adherence to
procedures and ensure that all processes are validated and records are
maintained for the statutory timeframe.
18. To take responsibility for all tests conducted within the Unit and ensure
they are carried out in an efficient manner.
19. To carry out any task or project as directed by the Plant Manager.
