Impedans specializes in the delivery of high performance and high resolution plasma diagnostics solutions to customers in research and industry. Our products find applications in plasma process research and development, plasma process monitoring and control, and manufacturing tool development in the semiconductor, surface coating, flat panel, thin film and solar sectors. Impedans' products represent the next generation in plasma diagnostics technology.
The Role
You will support the development, manufacture and installation of the company's products, including new electronic instrument construction, engineering component procurement, and workshop management. You will also update and organise documentation and carry out PCB CAD layout and basic mechanical drawing.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Assembly of prototype and custom-made product
· Electronic test, debug, and repair
· Liaising with sub-contractors on assembly techniques
· Generation of wiring diagrams and other assembly documentation
· Enclosure assembly
· Engineering support
· Commissioning, installation and testing of products
· Stock Control
The Person
You will have an electronics background and have good electronics skills - both analogue and digital - with the ability to understand circuit diagrams and use a variety of electronic test equipment. You will have proven experience of electronics construction, including working to engineering drawings and procuring components. You will possess a high level of manual dexterity and, ideally, have a working knowledge of electronic circuit design, mechanical (CAD) design and PCB layout.
You will be self motivated, professional and confident. You will be able to communicate at all levels and able to work within a small team with the ability to work independently and flexibly, with good IT and time management skills. A full clean driver’s license is an advantage.
