My client are an established family run Nursing Home in Waterford and are looking to recruit a Director of Nursing or an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing for their Nursing Home
The successful candidate will be ABA registered, have at least 5 years experience in a similar role, 3 years of which will be in a 'care of elderly' setting.
The duties and responsibilities will include
Quality of elderly care responibilities
Staff recruitment and training
Health and safety reviews and policy making
Supervision of staff, nursing procedures and staffing levels
Preparation new nursing policies and practices
Execution of internal audits
Maintanence of detailed records for all aspects of the nursing home
Liasing with families, residents, staff and management to ensure the smooth running of our facility
The successful candidate will have
A patient-centred approach to elderly care and good people skills
A proven track record in staff organisation, communication and leadership
Ability to set high standards and have these standards maintained
Ability to promote a team environment between employees
Sound decision making skills
Good appreciation of finance issues
Attention to detail
