Job Description Our client requires a security consultant on hardware assurance projects. The role will be working with and under the guidance of a team of senior technologists and architects at our client to help develop the new hardware assurance framework.

The role will be diverse, ranging from threat analysis to the development of new approaches to security evaluation schemes, associated cryptographic protocols, and design principles for more secure and trustworthy hardware

Roles/Responsibilities Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to

1. Take part in planning of the work for the group, preparation of the deliverables,
2. Communicate with internal stakeholders at our client and external participants.
3. Participate in the work relating to client programs with emphasis on leadership
a. Threat analysis and design principles
b. Evaluation framework
c. Cryptographic foundations
4. Prepare and deliver presentations on work in progress and write papers and reports, individually or with co-authors.
5. Participate in consortium and external meetings and conferences.
6. Expected to develop excellent working relationships with client stakeholders and external partners.

Skills/Experience The role requires a broad knowledge of security and related areas as well as an excellent understanding of and direct experience in hardware design and engineering. The successful candidate will also have extensive knowledge of cryptography as applied to hardware design and associated protocols, with a special strength in asymmetric cryptography, as well as cryptology and cryptanalysis.
You will have a good knowledge of testing and evaluation techniques in hardware as well as good understanding of new approaches, such as provable security. Experience in Common Criteria or good understanding of tests and requirements within Common Criteria evaluations is highly desirable.
Solid knowledge of cryptographic standards and familiarity with the international and national standards bodies engaged in standardization in this area (such as NIST or Trusted Computing Group) and their operations is desirable. Good understanding of Common Criteria and associated testing procedures

Education / Professional Qualifications Minimum qualification is degree from an accredited program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, Proven independent track record of research in security.
