Company Description: Our client is an established retailer with a network of Supermarkets across the UK. They are presently entering the Irish Market. The store is a customer focused, best practice driven business with a large emphasis on customer service and Value. Our client has significantly invested in the store recently and is looking to drive the business forward to best practice and award winning
The company prides itself on excellent distribution, competitive nature and customer service.
We now require a dynamic individual to manage the day to day operation of the store in conjunction with the General Manager
THIS POSITION REQUIRES RECENT RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IN GROCERY RETAIL
Key Responsibilities: Day to Day running of large Supermarket
To achieve sales targets as agreed.
To achieve a Gross Profit margin and Net margin as agreed.
To control overheads as per Annual Budget
To ensure Team have been set targets on Sales, Gross Profit, and Wastage
To ensure Management Team and Staff are trained appropriately and to the highest standard.
To ensure merchandising and presentation of entire store is of the highest standard at all times.
To control Stocktaking procedures
To ensure the I.Q.A. Hygiene award is achieved annually
To ensure Customer Care Service in the entire store is of the highest standard
To encourage a good working relationship with all staff and with local community
To hold regular communication meetings with management and staff
To develop members of staff and the management team through the use of Appraisals, Training and Development Promotion etc.
To have an in-depth knowledge of all legislation as it pertains to this store, in particular, Health and Safety Regulations, Employment Legislation etc.
To manage and co-ordinate in-store and national promotions
To be aware and implement all information that relates to your store which helps to gain efficiencies in operation i.e. reports/ scanning info etc.
To attend relevant conferences and seminars as directed
To seek opportunities to develop yourself in relation to technical training and professional development.
Skills & Experience: You will have previous experience in retail management at either a senior number three level or Assistant manager's position, with a passion for food retailing, a people person with a commercial edge and a desire to drive your own business category forward. Ambitious, not only for yourself but for your company
