Order Planner - Longford - this is a contract posting of circa 6 to 9 months' duration.

In this role you will be responsible for developing order execution plans for all activities in the supply chain. You will be required to monitor progress against these plans and instigate proactive corrective action to ensure on time delivery to customer promise dates.

The job is autonomous and the individual must accept total ownership of performance against the customer need dates and ensure compliance at all levels of the execution plan.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review all Orders and Quotes to determine delivery date and confirm in line with customer requirements.
• Creation of planning templates for all products to identify key milestone dates for execution of orders in line with customer need dates.
• Maintenance of above templates in line with fluctuating capacity capabilities in manufacture, support and vendor communities (in conjunction with the MPS Planner).
• Create a detailed order plan for the execution phase of all business encompassing all activities from Engineering through to detailed assembly, FAT, SIT and shipment.
• Ensure all planned purchasing and production requirements comply with inventory goals.
• Monitor progress against the execution plans.
• Highlight slippage, anomalies or issues to execution in a timely manner and work with the designated departmental representatives to instigate corrective action and recovery plans.
• Elevate issues to departmental head level if recovery planning is incomplete or unsuccessful.
• Support all functions in ensuring timely execution of activities.
• Liaise with Sales Administration, Project Management and the customer to provide accurate status information on orders.
• Develop detailed plan for orders and obtains sign-off of the plan from the departmental heads and Plant Management.

Interested applicants should be able to demonstrate the ability to adapt new ideas and work within a team. They should be self motivated and able to work with minimum supervision. It is essential that they are able to communicate at all levels within the business. The Planner is the interface between manufacturing and the customer primarily via Project Management or Sales Administration. The Planner will represent the manufacturing organisation in meetings with the customer.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
• Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
• A Third Level Technical Qualification is desirable.
• Engineering / Technical / Mechanical / background is desirable.
• Computer literate: Microsoft Office Essential.
• SAP knowledge is required.
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a Production Control or Project Management environment desirable.
