Role:
The Chief Operations Officer will report to the Regional CEO and will manage the launched live markets to achieve EBDITA targets within financial and budget controls.
The successful candidate will provide leadership to ensure smooth and efficient running of each market, influence and manage the level of demand for products and services and build on opportunities for revenue growth and innovation. You will also achieve the financial and commercial objectives of the company as per the approved company budget.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the EBDITA and market KPIs and targets are met in full for all these markets within budget constraints.
- Promote the interests of the Company and ensure that the business is represented in all dealings with the government, business partners, professional bodies and the wider business community
- Leadership and management of a multi-disciplinary CEO team, extended workforce, providing direction and support to all teams. Guide the development of employees and provide opportunities for career development.
- Ensure the successful achievement of commercial, sales and technical objectives and targets for each of the specific live markets.
- Strategic Planning - developing consumer insight to drive marketing and sales planning. Contribute to the management team's strategic planning
- Ensure a complete Business Continuity Plan is in place and that the business is prepared and protected in the event of a disaster.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree/MBA or equivalent experience
- A demonstrated ability to lead and get results through people. Commercial acumen.
- Record of success in meeting aggressive sales and revenue targets.
- Proven and demonstrated strategic and operational experience and expertise in a telecommunications environment.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, influencing, assertive and convincing.
- The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities with a proven track record of success.
- Fluency in French is advantageous
