We are an expanding company engaged in a number of exciting projects and are looking for a dynamic self starter to join our Development Team in the role of Junior Software Developer.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about programming to roll up his/her sleeves and make an impact in a ground breaking, market leading company. Reporting to the Project and Team Leads, this position will be involved in project work including design, coding and testing, and will have exposure to the full development lifecycle.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES…

Assist with the maintenance and development of the company’s SAAS application.

Assist senior development staff in project work and implementation of new configurations

Assist with the design, coding, and testing of technical solutions.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

The ideal candidate will …

  • Will have experience with JAVA. Experience of RUBY also a distinct advantage
  • Be familiar with Linux, Apache, Tomcat, MySQL, Maven, and Eclipse.
  • Possesses knowledge of various database access methods.
  • Exhibit proficiency in HTML and JavaScript language.
  • Possess basic knowledge of XML/XSL.
  • Have knowledge of Web Architecture
  • Possess basic knowledge of classes, components, objects, and interfaces.
  • Be enthusiastic and have a genuine passion for web development, technologies, and have a desire to learn.
The successful Candidate will need to be able to work well within a team as well as individually and demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm towards working in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment. They will be organised, articulate, results oriented, be a creative problem-solver, and flexible.
