Healthcare manufacturer in Mayo seeks experienced Supervisor with at least 2 years previous experience managing at least 20 staff in a Medical Device environment. Shiftwork will be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise production activities against targets.
- Managing all resources within cells i.e. labour and materials.
- Maintain the key measures of machine effectiveness, waste, quality and schedule adherence.
- Ensuring a positive employee relations climate is maintained
- Ongoing communications as required.
- Training and Development of Staff
- Adhering to daily/weekly production schedules
- Supervise the consumption of materials with the Value Stream
- Manage Work in Progress to agreed standards.
- Complete all relevant documentation and keeping visible measures against metrics currently displayed.
- Leading and driving continuous improvement and quality activities.
- Supervise communications within the Value Stream including weekly meetings
QUALIFICATIONS
- Leaving Cert and Supervisory Management Course as a minimum, 3rd level technical qualification preferred
- Understanding of modern, effective production processes and lean manufacturing tools/6 sigma
- Medical devices industry experience
- Experience of using lean tools for continuous improvements
- 2 to 4 years of manufacturing experience in a similar position.
- Experience in a Unionised environment in the medical devices industry.
