Hays Construction & Property are currently sourcing suitable experienced Facility Managers with a background in Pharmaceutical or the Provisions (Food & Beverage) industries.
This position will encompass managing both Hard and Soft services, direct/indirect reports, budgets, maintenance strategies, ensuring companies policies and procedures are strictly adhered to and statutory legislation compliant (GMP).
Reporting to the European Operations Manager, this is a Senior level position which requires the following experience and qualifications:
- Educated to a Degree level in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is essential and a Business and/or, Finance qualification would be a definite advantage
- Minimum 5 years experience at a Management level within a Pharma or Food plant
- Strong negotiation skills, financial and commercial awareness
- Excellent communication - written and oral
- Have experience with various maintenance management, engineering and financial systems
- Strategic thinker
- Problem solver
- People manager
The ideal candidate will manage a site Tipperary, which includes taking responsibility for training, performance management, recruitment and development of the facilities.
Manage all the sites services, in conjunction with both Company's and Client's policies and procedures, which adhere to Quality, Safety and Environmental procedures.
Create, develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal/external customers
Manage procurement and annual budgets in excess of €6m
Strategic planning for maintenance and keep up to date with legislation and new techniques within the industry.
This is an immediate vacancy with interviews being held from 17th Aug.
On offer is a competitive salary from €70k-€75k, plus benefits and car or car allowance.
