Contract - 6 months
We currently seek a proficient Power Station Operator to join our client's team on a contract basis. Based in Ireland, you will be working for one of the countries leading EPC companies to the Power Industry.
The role
*Reporting to the commissioning supervisor, the Operations Technician will ultimately be responsible for the availability of plant as required by commissioning engineers, working both locally and from a control room starting up, operating, testing, monitoring and shutting down plant.
*The Operations Technician will also assist in train the Shift Teams that will go on to operate the plant on a full time basis.
*Other duties will include reporting and recording any operational issues that may occur, overseeing contractors on site, all with the highest regard for health and safety compliance.
You will have knowledge and/or experience of the following:
*Experience of working on a CCGT or Open Cycle Power plant
*DCS experience
*Multi-disciplined background
*Worked on the construction or operation of Power Plants
Qualifications:
*Relevant engineering or technical qualification.
*Strong communication, report writing and presentation skills.
*Ability to communicate with both internal and external clients up to senior management level.
