An international Medical Device company has a vacancy for a Materials Manager for the Czech Republic. Fluent Czech & English essential. The role is based full time in the Czech Republic.
Role :
The Materials Manager will meet customer requirements by developing, implementing, and evaluating production planning, purchasing, warehousing, and shipping policies and procedures and managing staff.
Responsibilities :
The successful candidate will;
• Achieve materials management operational objectives by contributing materials management information.
• Make recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
• Meet materials management financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget.
• Meets sales forecasts and current orders by developing production planning and scheduling systems; optimizing labour, equipment, and inventory resources.
• Manages inventory; develops warehousing policies and procedures.
• Provides management control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
Requirements :
• Good understanding of ERP systems particularly Mfg/Pro & SAP.
• Detailed understanding of modern planning techniques – Kanban, Demand Pull, Replenishment as well as detailed understanding of Inventory management & procurement in a manufacturing environment.
• Fluent Czech and English
• Third level degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing, Planning or Logistics environment, minimum 3 years in a managerial position.
