Job Title: Microelectronic Packaging Engineer.
This will involve working directly with the Project Manager & Project team leaders to meet Project Milestones.
Key Tasks:
- Design of microelectronic packages/assemblies.
- Provide expert input to hardware & mechanical engineers to ensure the best practices design for miniaturisation are implemented at concept, right through to realisation phase.
- Research & Development of miniaturisation concepts.
- Liaise with field experts (3rd party) to implement latest technologies in miniaturisation to all new product developments.
- Interact with process department on sourcing equipment required for new product developments (specifically related to miniaturisation)
- Link in with process department on new product introduction builds.
- Support at Project Meetings & delivering on Open Issues assigned.
- Review Design Inputs i.e.; Customer Drawings, Specs FMEAS, Black/Grey Lists, Design Reviews.
- Review Design Outputs & Targets and assess impact on Mfg Cell Design
- Design of Mfg Cells – based on detailed Time Analysis & Customer PPM Targets.
- Generation & Execution of Process Validation Plan & Report.
- Design of Raw Material & Product Handling Systems in Mfg Cell.
- Equipment Requirements: Design/Sourcing of Equipment required to meet both the Capability & Capacity required.
- Project Manage suppliers of External Equipment/Fixturing.
- Generation of Project Documentation – Timing Plans, PFMEA’s, Build Reviews, Process Validation Reports, Control Plans, Capability Studies, Capacity Statements, OEE Reports, Operator Instructions, Maintenance Schedules, Training Plans, PSW Submissions etc
- Working directly with the Project Team to ensure we meet project deadlines & project technology requirements.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electronic/Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering.
- Prior experience in product design & development with regards miniaturization desired.
- Automotive experience desirable.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Team player with initiative.
This is initially a 3 month contract position which may be extended to a permanent position pending corporate approval.
