Sourcing Specialist

Procurement professional required for Medical Devices company based in Galway

Job Purpose:

Provide cross-commodity sourcing leadership for New Product Development teams, Technology group, and Research group. Represent strategic sourcing as a focal point on these teams for new product introductions and product transfers

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide sourcing/supply chain management leadership for launch of new products and technologies
  • Champion supply-chain initiatives
  • Lead continuous improvement
  • Develop, document and implement a component-by-component Sourcing Strategy for new product programs to reach quality, time-to-market, technology and cost goals.
Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 8+ years experience
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Solid understanding of new product development and introduction processes
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing and fabrication technologies
  • Cross functional team leadership experience
  • Project management skills
