The Company:
Our client is a large Irish multi-national with sales approaching €2 billion and employment in excess of 8,000. They have a market leading position in electrical heating appliances and has invested significantly in renewable technology as markets move towards greater energy efficiency and strive to reduce carbon emissions. They are a totally owned subsidiary of Glen Dimplex and is responsible for all sales in Republic of Ireland..
The Role:
The person appointed will have complete responsibility for the commercial activities of this department and to deliver a budgeted operating profit. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing all activities of the sales force and taking control of pricing policy.
Key attributes include the ability to negotiate with key accounts with a view to optimising sales in each product category within the portfolio. Maintenance of macro market information and the ability to forecast future trends in the renewables sector are also vital to the role.
The Person:
The successful candidate will be from a sales oriented background and will have sound commercial judgement and will be both strategically and tactically aware. The person appointed will be highly motivated and a good people person with the ability to lead the Sales Team.
Good technical experience of the renewables sector and organisational skills will also be pre-requisites.
