EH&S Specialist
Our client is currently talking applications for a EHS Engineer. This is a full time permanent role based in Dublin.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Keep abreast of all relevant Safety and Environmental legislation, both locally, nationally and within the EU.
  • Align the H&S management system to ISO 18001
  • Maintain and develop the site Safety Report
  • Coordinate the site HAZOP Programme
  • Conduct internal EHS audits according to schedule.
  • Implement relevant Corporate EHS Standards
  • Review and revise EHS SOPs and forms.
  • Co-ordinate accident and incident investigations.
  • Review and approve accident, incident investigations. Co-ordinate root cause analysis (RCA) where required.
  • Design and deliver EHS training programmes.
  • Monitor and review the site permit (to work) system.
  • Assist the EHS manager with the site Occupational Hygiene Programme.
  • Assist with the co-ordination and delivery of EHS promotional activities.
  • Assist the EHS manager with the compilation of the site AER and quarterly EPA reports.
  • Deputise for EHS Manager when required.
Background and Requirements:
  • Degree in Chemistry / Engineering/ Applied Science
  • Secondary qualification in EHS highly desirable.
  • 5 – 7 years in a relevant industrial experience in a SEVESO II site – this is an absolute must. Experience in an Upper Tier Site a distinct advantage.
  • Knowledge of chemical processing equipment is essential.
  • Strong analytical and evolutive engineering skills.
  • Creative in developing new EHS programmes and solutions.
  • Highly organised and capable of working on own initiative.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and interact across all levels within the organisation.
  • Confidentiality and professionalism in approach to the role and perception by site.
