Ei Electronics is an acknowledged market leader in Residential Fire Safety Products, and is one of Ireland's largest indigenous electronic companies employing 350 people at its 12,000 sq metre facility in Shannon, Co. Clare.

The Company has achieved continuous growth through the development of a stream of innovative new products manufactured on state of the art process technology, delivered to the highest customer service standards.

Due to its continued success, the Company is now seeking to recruit a Test Technician for its evening shift.

Main Purpose of Job:

Maintenance of ICT and functional test equipment, e.g. Teradyne, Zehntel and PC based testers, including harware and software maintenance.

Accountabilities:

* Maintenance of testers, ICT and functional

* Upgrading of testers

* Implementation of software changes, e.g. test specifications

Person Specification:

* Degree/Cert/Diploma in Electronic Engineering

* A high level of energy and enthusiasm

* A good work ethic

* Flexible and adaptable

* Team player, with a positive attitude

* Good problem solving skills

* Ability to work under pressure

* Willingness to work shift

Technical Skills/Knowledge/Experience

* 1 - 2 years relevant experience in high volume manufacturing

* Digital and analogue electronics

* Familiarity with test equipment, including Zehntel 800, Teradyne 1800, Yelo testers

* Knowledge of test software packages

* Ability to write software programs in C, C++.
