Finance Planning & Analysis Manager - Dublin – Pharmaceutical Sector
Reporting to the Finance Manager/Finance Director, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and on-going maintenance of management information systems to support the development of the business in a dynamic and challenging environment. The employee will be a key member of the finance team and will be play a significant role in the development and achievement of the department and company's objectives.
Main Duties:
- Working with the various functions in the business to identify, analyse and drive the implementation of significant cost reduction and operational efficiency improvement opportunities in the business
- Ongoing development of the cost and inventory accounting systems
- Calculation of overhead rates by work centre
- Establishment and maintenance of standard costs and transfer prices for the business
- Sales and gross margin forecasting at a product level
- Detailed country and product margin analysis relative to budget and forecast
- Interpretation and control of manufacturing and overhead spending variances
- Preparation of the monthly reporting package and analysis of business performance
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Make/buy analysis
- Development and measurement of KPI's
- Develop and maintain positive professional and interpersonal relationships with the site team and with our customers
- Support the implementation of the Operational Excellence Programme on the site by identifying and implementing improvements.
- To adhere to all company and legislative health, safety and environmental requirements
- Any other duties as requested by the Finance Manager/Financial Director.
Education & Experience:
- Qualified accountant with at least 7 years post qualification experience of managerial and cost accounting in a high volume manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of cost reduction and cost management. Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing, ABC and SOX is desirable.
- Strong SAP knowledge is a prerequisite, preferably gained as part of a successful implementation or upgrade of a SAP system.
