Engineering Technician
Is required to take a key role in relation to the maintenance and continuous improvement of production equipment.
Job Description
- Engineering Technician is expected to work in any area of the plant as required
- Engineering technician is part of a Production team, and is expected to work with the team in order to achieve production goals
- The Engineering Technician should proactively patrol his/her areas of responsibility, in order to be aware of activity in the area, to identify problems at an early stage
- Maintenance of production process equipment, to include breakdown repairs, preventive/predictive maintenance and ongoing day-to-day troubleshooting and technical interventions
- Continuous improvement of production process equipment
- An ancillary part of the role includes maintenance of buildings and utilities systems and equipment as and when required
- Set-up and changeover of production equipment to particular formats as required
- Operation of maintenance work procedures
- Completion of Equipment Log Books
- Monitoring of stock levels, Ordering and storage of materials, Receipt and issue of materials
- To co-operate fully in the writing and development of Standard Operating Procedures
- To carry out all Engineering work in accordance with current cGMPs
- Co-operation with the Process Deviation Reporting system
- Production facilities and machines should be left in the same state of cleanliness as found following an intervention. Any contamination (dirt, metal filings, failed components, lubricants etc.) arising from the intervention must be removed
- To participate in all training and assessment activities related to the position
Education / Experience:
- Trades or Diploma background
- Exp in hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of high-speed filling and packaging equipment essential
- At least 5 years post-qualification exp
- Mechanical or electrical, multi-skilled very desirable
- Pharma experience essential
