Stockeryale , a Cork based manufacturing Company is seeking an Electronic Design Engineer. Stockeryale designs, manufactures and exports its products internationally to machine vision customers in industrial and medical markets. The products are designed to meet customer specific requirements and are manufactured in low to medium volume. Due to ongoing expansion of business applications, the position of Electronic Design Engineer has arisen:
The Job:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Electronic Design Engineer is responsible for creating innovative electronic solutions which lead to the development and introduction of new technologies and products that support ongoing business objectives. The Electronic Design Engineer will be a member of the engineering team and should have demonstrated design, development and implementation proficiency in a similar design environment.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
1. Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout. This comprises 60% of the workload. CAD tool is Altium.
2. Perform detailed design, analysis, simulation, prototyping as appropriate to the project.
3. Fully document designs, design calculations & maintaining a design notebook.
4. Bill of Material generation, engineering change order/notice generation.
5. Participate in internal design reviews.
6. Assist with RFQs as requested.
7. Technical report writing.
8. Familiarity with standards, low voltage, safety & EMC.
9. Selection of components and suppliers based on product specification, reliability and regulatory requirements.
Personal Skills:
The candidate should be well organized with the ability to work in a cross functional team. He/she should have effective communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills. A technical interest and willingness to learn about the company’s technology is essential.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
1. Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
2. Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the development of analog and power electronics circuits.
An attractive remuneration package will be offered commensurate with experience.
