Based in the West of Ireland my clients are currently looking to recruit an Electrical test engineer who will be responsible for providing complete test solutions for all Electrical test activity.
Responsibilities:
• Test Planning and Reporting
o Develop customer specific EMC and Electrical test plans.
o Liaise with R&D project team members to define test cases.
o Provide detailed reports to the project teams on completed tests.
o Provide clear and concise analysis of failure modes to project teams
• Test Case Solutions
o Schematics and block diagrams for test solutions
o Developing the electronic hardware and software platforms for function test solutions.
o Support projects by recommending proven EMC and Electrical design solutions
• Test Support
o Support test houses in the set-up of systems prior to testing
o Provide work instructions to test houses to enable efficient transfer of test equipment
o Travel to test house where necessary to support test activity
o Support Project team with analysis of failure modes
o Maximize cost effectiveness of test houses by ensuring that alternative solutions have been considered prior to test kick off.
Requirements, Electronic Engineering degree, Min 3 years R&D or test engineering experience. Knowledge of vehicle EMC and electrical testing, Willing to travel abroad to external test houses as required
Desirable: Automotive electronics background, Vision systems expertise
