My client is a leading Internet/eCommerce player with operations in Ireland and overseas. Due to expansion in core operations a requirement has arisen to hire an experienced FP&A Financial Analyst to partner with the international business.
Job Description:
You will be responsible for supporting a number of international VPs and senior staff on a variety of analyses, such as assessment of business operations, sales and marketing, operational infrastructure and review and design of business process to enhance the bottom line.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of business strategy and operations, with a thorough knowledge of financial concepts and financial statements. You will be able to work with multi-functional, cross disciplinary, internationally located teams, using a matrix styled approach to collaborative working.
Roles/Responsibilities:
* Preparation of budgets and rolling forecasts for all international businesses
* Business partner to the international staff for all analytics
* On a monthly basis, summarize actual vs. budget comparison for revenue and expenses and present findings with recommendation to international management
* Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly management reports for International business. This includes but is not limited to ongoing assessment of new reporting needs and review/modification of existing reports as necessary
* Work on M&A as required including analysis and preparation of presentation materials
* Assist Director and senior management by performing various adhoc analyses and special projects as required
* Participate in the control process and validation of data warehouse
* Assist Director in developing standardized processes for the FP&A team
Skills/Experience:
* 5+ years experience in providing proactive and insightful reporting and data analytics, budgeting and forecasting
* Advanced MS Excel skills required as well as proficiency with Word, Access and PowerPoint
* Experience in using Oracle Financials strongly preferred
* Knowledge of Data Warehouse environment; familiarity with Business Objects preferred
* Internet/e-commerce analysis experience and experience in industries with subscription business highly preferred
Education / Professional Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
* ACA/ACCA, CIMA or MBA preferred
Personal Attributes:
* Extremely detail-oriented, excellent organizational skills
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential to this position
