Currently recruiting for an Indirect Tax Manager, reporting into the Indirect Tax Director you will be responsible for managing the indirect tax compliance function centralised in Cork. The position holder will also review and advise on indirect tax compliance of other company entities within Internationally including tax audits. The successful person will also support the International Indirect Tax Director with his duties and responsibilities and manage the International VAT Assistant.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Indirect Tax Compliance
Ø Manage and support the company’s centralised indirect tax reporting in Cork
Ø Supervise and provide technical support and training to local accountants completing indirect tax returns in Cork
Ø Review the company’s international indirect tax compliance outside of Cork
Ø Ensure that company policy and Sarbanes Oxley requirements are met in respect of indirect tax compliance
Ø Manage International VAT Assistant who provides support to the international indirect tax compliance and reporting process.

International Tax Audits
Ø Assist in managing international indirect tax audits
Ø Assist in compiling and reviewing data & maintaining adequate files in relation to international indirect tax audits


Indirect Tax Strategy
Ø Support International Indirect Tax Manager with his duties and responsibilities in respect of the company’s international indirect tax strategy, advisory, planning, reporting and accounting.

Skills:
Ø A highly motivated self-starter
Ø Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ø Excellent computer skills, including experience with MS Office applications
Ø Solid accounting, analytical and problem-solving skills
Ø Ability to work well with others including excellent management skills
Ø Strong organizational skills
Ø Able to prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines and business demands
Ø Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
Ø Can demonstrate integrity.
Ø An excellent understanding of VAT rules in the EU with some knowledge of other VAT regimes
Ø Experience with dealing with tax audits
Ø Good knowledge of VAT accounting rules & ERP systems (some knowledge of tax engines preferable)
Ø Awareness of Sarbanes Oxley rules & statutory requirements

Qualifications:
Ø Bachelors degree
Ø 3 - 8 years indirect tax experience, private and/or public
Ø Ideally a tax qualification
Ø Language skills desirable

Location: Ideally, the Incumbent will permanently work out of the Cork office to fulfill his/her duties and responsibilities. However, other flexible working arrangements may be possible.
